You got behind the wheel!
It’s been a whole lot of fun and a lot of hard work, but after a three month voting campaign, the results are in!
The amazing team at Archibalds Motors embarked on an incredibly generous journey, to celebrate their 100th birthday, by giving back to the community. Where many organisations would traditionally host a big staff or client party, with all the bells and whistles, the team at Archibalds decided they would like to do something different, by celebrating local charities and investing in them, as their centenary gift.
And boy what an amazing ride it’s been! As one of the 10 worthy, charities shortlisted, the Champion Centre has been fortunate to have a chance to be in the running for a portion of this $150,000 gift.
Over the past three months we have done our best to share our mission with the wider public, and encourage them to consider supporting us, by the simple act of casting a vote.
We have had past and current families show their support by sharing their journeys, so that others can recognise the impact that our service has had on their family. A big thank you in particular to the Norman family, Kailee and Nia, and Coen and Bella for sharing their video stories.
And all this hard work has paid off! On Wednesday 6 March, the Champion Centre was announced the winner of Drive for Good, securing a wonderful prize of $50,000. This amazing donation will be put to great use, going towards the vital work of our family support team.
Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who got in behind this initiative and voted in support of the Centre. We are so grateful of your support.
