How are our programmes funded?
The programme is funded by a combination of central government funding (Ministry of Education and Whaikaha) and fundraising through grants, events and philanthropy.  As of July 2024, the beginning of our financial year, the government funds approximately $1.8 million of the $2.8 million it takes to run the Centre annually. This leaves a shortfall of approximately $1 million to achieve through fundraising efforts.

THERE ARE A VARIETY OF WAYS YOU CAN HELP!

The Champion Foundation Trust
As the Centre is not fully funded by the government, the purpose of the Champion Foundation Trust is to build up a capital fund to generate investment income to secure a sustainable future for the Champion Centre.

Capital Fundraising helps to provide sustainability to enable our young Champions to flourish! Income from this fund will allow the Centre to plan for moderate growth and long-term sustainability. This fund is managed prudently, with capital maintained, and interest used to supplement the operational funding of the core business operations of the Champion Centre.
